Profile of Dr. MS Azmira Bilkis

Azmira Bilkis, PhD started her teaching career as a lecturer in Sociology at the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Languages (SSHL), Bangladesh Open University (BOU) in July 2014. She earned BSS (2001) and MSS (2002) degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. During her academic life, she was involved in various research projects that inspired her to get into the research field. In February 2020, she was promoted to the position of Assistant Professor (Sociology) at the SSHL, BOU. As a faculty member with outstanding communication skills, she can easily connect with her students and teach both simple and advanced concepts, in her classes with utmost rigor. In addition, Azmira is executing various academic and administrative responsibilities as an active member. She published seven research articles in academic journals. In 2022, she obtained her Ph.D. in Government and Politics from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Jahangirnagar University, Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
